🔋 Will I need to charge the tracker?

No!

• Live GPS draws power from your ebike’s battery, so you don’t have to think about it. If your ebike battery is removed, it switches to a backup cell that lasts for several days.

• Sleeper GPS & Proximity Beacons are self-powered. They last 3–4 years and don’t require any charging .

🔌 All our trackers are “fit and forget.”

⌛ What happens when the batteries run out?

We’ll handle it.

As your Sleeper GPS or beacon approaches the end of its battery life, we’ll contact you to arrange a battery swap or device refresh.

This is part of our ongoing service—no surprise costs or fiddly replacements.

🛠️ A BackPedal mechanic will typically come to you and install a fresh unit on the spot.

🚫 Do you add a “This bike has GPS” sticker?

No—and we don’t recommend it.

We rely on stealth as our best defence. If a thief doesn’t know your bike is traceable, they’re less likely to strip it for parts or stash it in a remote location.

📱 Do the trackers come with apps?

Yes—but only the Live GPS tracker comes with a user-facing app.
