Which Cowboy models qualify?
All of them. Every Cowboy ships with GPS tracking built into the frame, so every model — from the original Cowboy through the C4 to the Cruiser, Cruiser ST, Cross and Cross ST — signs up without an install appointment. Enter Cowboy as the make and the discount and install-skip apply automatically.
Do I need a Cowboy Connect subscription for BackPedal to work?
You don't need any insurance sold by Cowboy — theft cover is bundled into your BackPedal subscription, backed by Sundays. What you do need is your bike's tracking working: keep the Cowboy app set up, and maintain any Cowboy subscription (like Connect) that enables tracking on your bike. Recovery runs on that tracking, so it needs to stay live.
How does BackPedal use my Cowboy's tracking?
After signup, we register your bike with our recovery operations team. If you report a theft, a handler live-tracks the bike using its built-in GPS alongside our own recovery tooling, coordinates the police report, and deploys agents to the bike's location.
What does BackPedal cover that the Cowboy app doesn't?
